Wellbeing and resilience for home workers

Online & fully interactive – LIVE trainer – small groups

There can be many benefits to working from home, but there are also undeniable challenges. For many of us, the isolation, lack of structure and competing demands on our time can create stress and worry that can easily sap our energy and positivity, and lower our physical and emotional wellbeing.

This live online training session focuses on providing a set of practical techniques and tools to help home workers build resilience and maintain wellbeing outside the structures of office life.

Led by an expert trainer and with a small group, participants have plenty of chances to discuss their own specific challenges and to get individual advice, as well as to work interactively with their colleagues, building a network of support to draw on after the training is complete.

What participants will learn

This intensive session is designed to have maximum practical impact in a short time. It provides tools and tips around topics including:

  • What do we mean by wellbeing and resilience?
  • Understanding the Circle of Control
  • Increasing resilience and wellbeing when working at home
  • Managing our emotional response under pressure
  • Altering thinking patterns around setbacks and mistakes
  • Learning to ‘respond’ rather than ‘react’
  • ABC thinking
  • Increasing influence and control at work to become ‘stress resilient’ rather than ‘stressed out’
  • Managing your energy not just your time
  • Recharging your batteries during and after the working day

After the course every participant receives a PDF course handbook covering everything they’ve learnt on the course.

How is the training delivered?

This is a live and fully interactive training session. Just like classroom training, it is delivered by an experienced tutor to a small group, ensuring plenty of chances to ask questions and discuss experiences.

Using a free web based interface, delegates are able to see, hear and interact with the trainer and other participants in real time. The session is intensive, and last about 90 minutes, equipping participants with a raft of instantly implementable techniques to improve their resilience and wellbeing at work.
