Promoting wellbeing in remote & hybrid teams

Online & fully interactive – LIVE trainer – small groups

Teams that report high levels of wellbeing have been shown to perform better, be more creative and engaged, and to enjoy lower rates of absence and staff turnover.

But maintaining wellbeing and good mental health in teams that include remote workers can be challenging for many managers. Individual team members can feel isolated and adrift without the regular in-person contact and structure of office life. And it’s often hard to know someone is struggling when contact and context are limited.

Good management means being proactive in monitoring and protecting wellbeing, and offering the right support when it’s needed. This virtual course, led by an expert trainer, provides participants with a chance to discuss specific issues and get individual advice, and to learn a set of practical techniques they can put to immediate use to help promote wellbeing in their team.

What participants will learn

This intensive session is designed to have maximum practical impact in a short time. It provides tools and tips around topics including:

  • Understanding and noticing the wellbeing challenges that can be linked to remote/hybrid working
  • Spotting signs of poor wellbeing / mental health concerns in staff when working remotely
  • Feeling confident raising concerns with an employee about their wellbeing or mental health
  • Techniques to support emotional wellbeing and mental health in yourself and your team
  • Managing thought patterns, perceptions and beliefs positively
  • Helping your team’s sense of perspective and pragmatism
  • The importance of control to wellbeing, and discovering ways to support your team’s sense of control at work and beyond
  • Building effective, supportive team relationships
  • Signposting staff to effective help
  • Case studies

After the course every participant receives a PDF course handbook covering everything they’ve learnt on the course.

How is the training delivered?

This is a live and fully interactive training session. Just like classroom training, it is delivered by an experienced tutor to a small group, ensuring plenty of chances to ask questions and discuss experiences.

Using a free web based interface, delegates are able to see, hear and interact with the trainer and other participants in real time. The session is intensive, and last about 90 minutes, equipping participants with a raft of instantly implementable techniques to improve their ability to promote and sustain wellbeing in their remote team.
